Healthcare digital marketing in Delhi NCR — measured in booked appointments, not likes
Clinics and hospitals spend on Google Ads and Instagram and then can't tell which rupee brought a patient. I set up healthcare campaigns the other way round: tracking first, then landing pages built for one treatment each, then ads written within Google's and Meta's healthcare policies. Every report starts with cost per booked appointment.
Healthcare digital marketing, in one table
Healthcare digital marketing means using Google Ads, Meta ads, SEO and landing pages to bring patients to a clinic or hospital — and tracking which channel actually produced each appointment. For most practices in Delhi NCR, Google Search ads for specific treatments plus a strong Google Business Profile bring the most bookings per rupee.
| Channels | Google Search ads, Performance Max, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Business Profile, landing pages |
| Management fee | ₹15,000/month or 15% of ad spend, whichever is higher · ad spend paid directly to Google/Meta |
| Tracking | Calls, WhatsApp clicks and form bookings tracked in GA4 and Google Ads before launch |
| Policy | Ads written within Google's healthcare and medicines policy and Meta's health ad rules |
| Reporting | Monthly: cost per booked appointment by treatment, then clicks and spend |
What actually brings patients in Delhi NCR
"Root canal treatment Noida" converts far better than "best dental clinic". Each high-value treatment gets its own ad group and its own landing page.
Sending ad clicks to a homepage wastes most of the budget. A one-treatment page with doctor details, cost guidance and a booking button usually halves the cost per lead.
Most patients in India call or WhatsApp rather than fill a form. If calls aren't tracked, the campaign is optimised on the wrong data.
Instagram and Facebook work well for health camps, check-up packages and new branches — less well for urgent treatments, where people search on Google.
How I run healthcare campaigns
Tracking & policy check
Before spending a rupee, I make sure every booking can be measured and every ad can run.
- GA4 + Google Ads conversion setup
- Call and WhatsApp click tracking
- Policy review for each treatment
- Google Business Profile linked
Landing pages
One page per treatment or package, built to load fast on mobile.
- Doctor, cost guidance, FAQs
- Booking form + tap-to-call
- Under 2.5s mobile load
- A/B test on headline and offer
Campaigns & optimisation
Weekly changes based on booked appointments, not clicks.
- Negative keywords (jobs, courses, free)
- Locality targeting around the clinic
- Ad schedule around OPD hours
- Monthly cost-per-booking report

The situation
Not a clinic, but the same problem every healthcare practice has: paid clicks landing on a general homepage and no clear way to tell which ads produced enquiries.
What I did
- Set up conversion tracking for calls, forms and WhatsApp
- Built dedicated landing pages per course
- Restructured campaigns by intent with negative keywords
- Weekly optimisation on cost per lead, not clicks
Healthcare digital marketing pricing

| Multi-specialty clinic | Google Search + Meta + landing pages | ₹15,000 or 15% of spend |

Ad spend is separate and paid directly to Google or Meta — I recommend a minimum of ₹20,000/month for search campaigns. More on my Google Ads management →
Healthcare digital marketing questions
What does healthcare digital marketing include?
Healthcare digital marketing usually includes Google Search ads for specific treatments, Meta ads on Facebook and Instagram for check-up packages and health camps, a well-built Google Business Profile, treatment-specific landing pages, and SEO for steady organic patients. The part most clinics miss is tracking: calls, WhatsApp clicks and bookings should all be measured, so you know the real cost of each appointment and can move budget to what works.
Can hospitals and clinics run Google Ads in India?
Yes. Hospitals, clinics and doctors can advertise medical services on Google in India, but Google's healthcare and medicines policy restricts certain content, such as prescription drug promotion and some unproven treatments, and some categories need certification. Ads should describe services accurately without guaranteed outcomes. I review each treatment against the current policy before launching, which prevents disapproved ads and wasted setup time.
How much should a clinic spend on Google Ads?
For a single clinic in Delhi NCR, I recommend starting with at least ₹20,000 a month in ad spend on Google Search, focused on two or three high-value treatments in your locality. Below that, data comes in too slowly to optimise properly. Management with me is ₹15,000 a month or 15% of ad spend, whichever is higher. Hospitals running several departments usually spend ₹50,000 to several lakh a month, depending on competition.
Is Instagram or Google better for doctors?
Google is better for patients who need treatment now, because they search for a specific problem and book quickly. Instagram and Facebook are better for awareness: preventive check-up packages, cosmetic and wellness services, health camps and new branch launches. Most clinics should start with Google Search ads and the Google Business Profile, then add Meta ads once tracking shows what a booked appointment is worth.
